SUDAJAYAHILIR- PROFILE

Paradigm of development at this time has been changed to participatory development which the community is given a greater role to get involved and become the main actors in the development itself, either from the start of planning, implementation and supervision, not only silent menuggu orders from outside parties or the government . Participatory Rapid Apraisal in this community given the opportunity to engage actively in the preparation of development plans in an attempt to tackle poverty is based on the potential and real problems existing in the community of District Sudajayahilir.

Starting from Apraisal Rapid Participatory activities are public are invited to menahami real needs of the problem and the real potential, which through various activities such as community preparedness rembug, then the conduct of a reflection of poverty, self mapping, and preparation of the end Pronangkis PJM with the basic results of these self mapping prepared a development plan with the term “PJM Pronangkis”. This development plan is an arrangement for menganggulangi poverty programs in the medium term is between 1-3 years.

As we know a participatory planning cycle are part of the cycle of development programs which are expected to be rooted in the community that these activities are expected to be a continuous activity running. Rapid Participatory activities are necessary Apraisal PJM Pronangkis review of District of advanced learning is a process with the intention of improving the ability of communities to make improvements to the PJM Pronangkis that had been developed.

In PJM (medium term) will be evaluated the implementation of activities in the previous year, whether these activities have been in accordance with community needs and in accordance with the results of self-mapping, so the evaluation can be

Poverty reduction in general. With the review PJM (Mid-term Program) is also expected to assist communities in developing improvements to his Excellency the gar more directed and focused with targets and indicators more measurable and targeted in line with the Millennium development Goals (MDG’s) and the Human Development Index (HDI) .

PJM is expected to review, access and opportunities to achieve community partnerships with government / agencies, private institutions at regional and central level in the context of poverty reduction to be more open.

The purpose of the activities of District Pronangkis PJM Sudajayahilir is:

1. Learning and increased understanding for the community in planning and setting Pronangkis PJM.

2. Communities are able to make improvements in this Pronangkis PJM up so that it can provide the maximum benefit.

3. Communities are able to arrange this with Pronangkis PJM achievement indicators in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) and the Human Development Index (HDI)

4. Public awareness of District Lower Sudajaya for further development by giving priority to self-reliance and self-reliance, so that the activities listed in this Pronangkis PJM could be one of the reference point for the community and other parties in poverty reduction activities in Sub-District Sudajayahilir.

The process of District Sudajayahilir PJM Pronangkis is done by involving the whole society, with the steps – steps as follows:

1. Guidance from the facilitator to BKM, volunteers, and apparatus for the implementation of District workshops Pronangkis PJM.

2. BKM agreement with the officers of District and the community about the time and place of meetings to implement the review workshop of District level Pronangkis PJM.

3. Implementation of PJM Pronangkis workshop of District level.

4. Implementation of data mining processes and information through a review of Self mapping (PS), mainly based on public data collection on the soul.

5. Residents of District-level meetings for the formulation of the draft PJM,.

6. Sub-District level workshop is discussing the draft documents and validation documents PJM PJM Pronangkis a joint decision.

7. Conducting socialization Pronangkis PJM to all levels of society.

Basic principles in the PJM Pronangkis activities are as follows:

1. Pronangkis PJM is the process of community-based activities by learning the values and principles: primarily related to the principles of democracy, transparency and accountability, participation, decentralization, and keiklashan values, honesty, justice, equality and unity in diversity.

2. PJM Pronangkis composed of, by and for people who originated from the data or information that successfully collected from previous Pronangkis PJM.

3. PJM Pronangkis process conducted in a participatory manner based on the values of honesty, openness, oriented toward the MDG’s and the HDI but Tridaya corridor approach and their approach to achieving goals, understand and accept differences of opinion, have a caring, accepting and understanding the shortcomings of others, respect decisions of others.

General Condition 1.1 of District

1.1.1 History of District

Sudajayahilir of District was established in 1844, led by a Head of District. As for the names of District Chief who has served include:

Yasin (1844 – 1877); arsa Manggala (1877 -1909); D Manggala Tirta (1909 – 1930); M. Sumanireja (1930 – 1947); Subdianata (1947 – 1950); Tumijan (1950 – 1961); T. Sukma (1961 – 1965); U. Sumanireja (1965 – 1978); H. Kamal (1978 – 1980); Sulman (1989 -1995), Ukat (1995 – 1999); Atjep Suhandi (1999 – 2004); Adman Sugiono (2004-2008). Endang Suryadi (2008-present).

1.1.2 Sub-District and Geographical Area

Based on the location of District Geografisnnya in any area Sudajayahilir Baros Sukabumi district in West Java Province, an area of 1077.30 ha, with elevation from sea level approximately 450 m with temperatures ranging from 29-32 C, with rainfall monthly average of 2000 -3000 mm / year.

General conditions of District Sudajayahilir area directly adjacent to some other Sub-District in both the scope of the Sub Baros or any other District, with boundaries as follows:

• North side of District Cikondang borders,

• East side of District bordering Jayamekar

• South side of District bordering Cikundul

• West side of District bordering Sindangsari

The distance and travel time from the District:

• to the Capital District 5 km, with 0.25 hours travel time

• to the Capital City 45 km, with a 1-hour distance

• to the Capital Municipality 15 km, with a 0.5-hour distance

• the Provincial Capital of 120 km, with a 3-hour distance.

Kelurahan Sudajayahilir divided into 8 (eight) Ke-RW’s and 6 (six) villages namely: Lio, Begeg Propelat, Balandongan, Base, Sand Pogor and Cobodas.

f. Communication Facilities

Communication facilities used by residents today include: 10 Wartel spread throughout Sub-District Sudajayahilir, home phone and cell phone installed as a means of alternative communication for smooth communication, wide band to inform the information to the public.

g. Water Use

Viewed from the use of water facilities, more people use well water for their various needs than piped water. This

is seen from wells dug 591-home residents at home and the new PAM installed.

h. Tool / Potential Institutional Sub-District

Sudajayahilir has two (2) formal institutions that serve as partners with the head and protector of District and community movers in all fields especially in the field of physical development, economic, and social. Institutions are as follows:

LPM is an institution that functions as the executor of all sectors of development in Lower Sudajaya of District of District programs in accordance with the concept of community empowerment blood circumstances both physical development, social and economic.

2. EMPOWERMENT and FAMILY WELFARE

PKK members consisting of women in Sub-District Lower Sudajaya, this institution has the vision and mission as follows:

VISION: To realize the women in Sub-District Lower Sudajaya really able to cope on their own family issues to the welfare of the family
MISSION:

a. Empowering women in increasing capacity and skills
b. cultivate unity among women and housewives to the welfare of the family.

1.2 Problems

In general, views the problem viewed from the aspect of education, health, environment and other issues related to HDI, MDG’s.

Criteria for selection and determination of issues which can be further processed are:

1. Is a fundamental need / node problem

2. Problems / needs are considered urgent in Sub-District

3. Felt by some citizens, especially the poor

4. Problems often arise

5. And the potential availability of resources

There are several problems that were identified based on the results of mapping carried out by non-governmental and community volunteers together, which grouped the 4 (four) review aspects of the problem is as follows:

1. Health
Small income level
Lack of clean water supply especially during the dry season arrives
There are some people who do not have a latrine
Lack of awareness of citizens on the importance of health

2. Education
Small per capita income
Much further distances to school and high school fees

There are many school-age children who can not continue to the level of higher education or only up to junior secondary level

There are many school-age children who have dropped out of school due to economic factors.

3. Environmental infrastructures
Neighborhood roads that connect to each kedusunan were heavily damaged and some are still dirt road
Communities are less concerned about the environment, the adequacy Less

Public toilets (MCK) that have been there can not be optimally utilized due to the supply of limited water resources / frequently experience drought

4. Social
Encountered many people who have no habitable homes are usually inhabited by elderly residents
There are many people of productive age are unemployed.

5. Economy
The existence of poor people who are unemployed due to lack of expertise and skills

Narrow employment

There are small groups of people who have limited capital and limited access to markets for products produced
The low level of income, especially for citizens who

worked as a farmer or handyman

6. Female
Limited time for women to participate in community activities due to busy household tasks.

ƒ PURPOSE

1. Regrow human values and civic as the underlying foundation of poverty reduction activities.

2. Improving basic infrastructure and community facilities, especially for the needs of the poor, including housing repairs.

3. Introduce and develop the efforts of independent income generation and sustainable for the poor.

4. Establishment of civil society organizations that have a collective leadership / joint that can help the poor in decision-making process related to their interests.

5. Strengthening unity among all levels of society, governments and other groups in poverty reduction.
